The main finial was originally made of gold.

The entrance are decorated with beautiful carvings and words from the quran
Minar
The 4 minars were designed in such a way that if they fall, they would fall outwards and not on the monument itself
Through the Agra Fort
Agra fort is where Shah Jehan was imprisoned by his son when he was overthrown. Shah Jehan was allowed to view the Taj Mahal from the fort.
Octagonal Main Structure
Not many people realize that the main structure of the monument is actually octagonal in shape. Octagon in Islam represents Heaven.
Iconic Architecture
The domes and minars are typical icons of the Mughal architecture.
