Marble Petals
Inspired by the lotus flower, the design for the Bahai Temple is composed of 27 free-standing marble clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides
Penteli Marble
The surface of the House of Worship is made of white marble from Penteli mountain in Greece.
Exterior Lighting
The lighting of the temple after dark is quite a sight, and had received several awards for its Exterior Lighting.
Gardens by the Temple
The nine doors of the Lotus Temple open onto a central hall. The temple surrounded by nine ponds and the gardens.
